Yes. Folder Sync 2 is a free download from the Mac App Store. Using the Sync features requires a Subscription or a Full License to be purchased from within the App (In-App Purchase). A Free 14 Trial is also available from within the App which allows the Sync functionality to be evaluated.


How do I Sync two folders?

Placeholders are used to represent folders which have not yet been read from disk and are displayed using a folder icon with plus sign within it. Placeholders are used to avoid the need to read filtered content or to delay reading of content. After a folder comparison finishes, Placeholders can be read from disk by double clicking on the [+] or by selecting them and using the right click context menu.

How do I only show the differences?

In version 2.7.0 a view mode setting has been added to the Preset Editor and the Toolbar. This provides ability to quickly configure the view mode to display All, Differences or Filtered. The Show Filtered toggle button on the Toolbar also provides quick access to toggle the display of Filtered items.

Why are filtered items still shown in the file outline views?

Filtered items are not included with Sync operations but can still be manually manipulated if desired (moved, copied, deleted or renamed) within the file outline.

To completely hide filtered items from view, toggle the “Hide Filtered Items” setting ON in the Preset Editor or toggle the Toolbar “Show Filtered” button.
